Pro has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join its Pro MGA Solutions team. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the existing account and compliance management oversight of each client, ensuring clients remain compliant by providing effective support to devise and embed the appropriate controls that drive professional behaviour and best practice.

The Compliance Manager will be part of the Pro MGA Team reporting to the Head of Compliance and working with a Compliance Assistant.

This is a full-time, permanent role working on a hybrid basis out of the London office 2 - 3 days a week.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and ensure mandatory training completion rates are met and maintain consistent compliance documentation and standards for the intranet
  • Review policies, procedures and supporting guidance to the business and clients
  • Work on embedding conduct risk requirements
  • Support the process to embed a risk culture within the team and for clients
  • Support the delivery of operational risk and compliance and new business projects
  • Monitor and record the publications and press releases of the FCA, PRA and insurance trade bodies
  • Assist in the production of structured, accurate and timely risk and compliance MI reports for the business or the Boards as appropriate
  • Support the recording and assessment of the regulatory breach reporting process
  • Work with the Finance team to provide data to support the regulatory reporting process
  • Carry out monthly monitoring review of the regulatory risk logs, maintaining the regulatory calendar for the team and to undertake the regulatory reporting
  • Chair the MGA Risk and Compliance Committee meetings
  • Participate and provide guidance to the wider team about Compliance updates and changes.
  • Provide compliance information and prepare reporting for Board Packs
  • Work with the SMF16 to analyse and implement any new regulatory changes applicable to our business and/or clients.

 

Key knowledge, skills and experience required:

 

•            Minimum of 5 years’ compliance experience working within the delegated sector of insurance (preferably in an MGA) and knowledge of the delegated underwriting market and processes

•            People orientated with a desire to improve and develop the skills of team members through training and mentoring

•            Able to work under pressure to meet pressured deadlines

•            Ability to improve/re-engineer processes to improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency

•            Good corporate financial awareness   

•            Good understanding of London Market systems and procedures

•            Previous experience in a similar role in the (Re)insurance market, within a Service Provider or an operations leadership role within a Managing Agent

•            Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•            Working regulatory understanding

•            CII Certification desirable

•            Minimum of 15 hours CPD per annum including regulatory oversight.
